Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 3, 2014 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Clearwater, for Eulalia M. “Lolly” Hammerschmidt, age 94, of St. Cloud and formerly of Clearwater, who passed away at the Talahi Care Center in St. Cloud on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Reverend Steven Hoffman will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in the parish cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater and after 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the church. Parish prayers will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home in Clearwater.
Lolly was born on May 5, 1919 in Morgan, Minnesota to John and Christine (Koll) Welter. She married Lawrence Hammerschmidt on July 9, 1941 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan, Minnesota. Lolly was a homemaker all of her life. She owned and operated L and L Café in Long Prairie with her husband.
Lolly enjoyed being outside and time in her garden. She especially loved all the time spent with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Jim) Miller of Kimball; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
Lolly was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, Ken; and six siblings.
Memorials are preferred.

I have fond memories of Lolly & Lawrence when they lived in Long Prairie. We loved to eat at the Cafe. I am thinking about you during this difficult time.
I will always remember Lolly and Lawrence. They were like my extra grandma and grandpa when I lived in Clearwater
We loved Lolly dearly and always enjoyed Lolly & Lawrence’s visits at the farm in Clements. May God Bless her family & friends during this difficult time.
