Florence E. Soyka

Mass of Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Florence E. Soyka, 91 of St. Cloud who died on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Reverend Anthony Oelrich will officiate. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
Florence was born on December 11, 1920, in St. Cloud to Christian and Florence (Halweg) Schmitt. She married Clarence Soyka in January 1941 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud. She was a member of St. Augustine’s Parish and Christian Women.
Florence is survived by her children, Richard (Patricia) of Sauk Rapids, Sandra (Larry) Mooneyham of Scappoose, Oregon, Thomas (Dawn Kuhl) of Cold Spring, Carol Werner of St. Cloud, and Michael of Sartell; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Durbahn of Shoreview.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence in 2005; daughter, Mary; son, John; her parents; and four brothers.
