Florentine M. Beumer

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Florentine M. Beumer, 93, of St. Augusta will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta. Florentine died on Saturday, May 16th at St. Benedict’s Care Center. Reverend Robert Rolfes will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary Help of Christians Parish Center. St. Ann’s Christian Women will pray at 6:00 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the parish center. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Florentine was born on June 23, 1915 in St. Augusta Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Bernard and Josephine (Moeller) Kiffmeyer. She married Albert B. Beumer on May 31, 1938 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. They were blessed with four children, 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Florentine was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Parish all of her life. She also belonged to St. Ann’s Christian Women, the prayer line, Legion of Mary, Crosier Apostolate and the Sauk Rapids Senior Citizens.

Florentine was an avid gardener and grew beautiful flowers. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Joan (Leo) Pohl of Cold Spring, Lois (LeRoy) Warnert of St. Joseph, Dennis of Apple Valley, Linda (Kevin) Henkemeyer of Clearwater; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and sisters, Loretta Gohman of Luxemburg and Zita Hanisch of St. Augusta.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in December 1987; granddaughter, Dawn Marie Henkemeyer in 1995; brothers, Leo, Lawrence, Albert and Rev. Joseph Kiffmeyer; and sisters, Clara Waltzing, Anna Krippner, Olivia Koering and Mercedes Eich.
