Kurt – I’m sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. She was a good nurse. She stopped to help my family when we were in a car accident once and my sister was hurt. My thoughts are with you.
Frances K. "Fran" Martini
April 27, 1937 – October 22, 2012

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Frances K. “Fran” Martini, age 75, of St. Cloud, who passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital with family by her side after a brief battle with cancer. Reverend Anthony Oelrich will officiate. Burial will take place in the St. Marcus Parish Cemetery in Clear Lake.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Parish prayers will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Fran was born on April 27, 1937 in Rushmore, Minnesota to Bernard and Agnes (Ratermann) Schoborg. After graduating high school she pursued a career in nursing at the St. Cloud Hospital School of Nursing. She married Andy Bechtold on November 15, 1958. He passed away on February 9, 1959. Fran then married Roger Martini on February 23, 1963. Together they adopted two boys, Ted in 1972 and Kurt in 1974. Throughout her life Fran returned to school completing her Master’s Degree in Health Administration. She was very active at St. Augustine’s Parish, participating in the church council and bible study.
She enjoyed playing crossword puzzles, reading and giving to the Sisters of Poor Clare. Fran especially treasured the time spent with her family.
Fran is survived by her two sons; Ted (Jill) and Kurt (Fiancée Season) both of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Braden, Liliana, Karly, and Kaylee on the way; brothers, Willy (Dorothy) Schoborg of St. Cloud, and Paul (Nan) Schoborg of Delano; sister-in-law, Penny Bergstraser; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and one infant sister.
A Special Thank You to the Staff at the St. Cloud Hospital for the care given to Fran during this difficult time.

Fran was as loving and cared for me as a son as I would hang out with Kurt and spend many days at their house. Fran you were one of the greatest people and you will be missed. All of my blessings – Jesse.
I am so sorry about the loss of Fran. She impacted the lives of many in such a positive way. Fran was a very well respected and caring individual who will be missed greatly. My deepest sympathy to her family.
We were all blessed to have Fran in our lives. She was St. Cloud’s Sister Teresa!! I remember a very fun car ride with Fran and her positive uplifting attitude. Thank you God for blessing us with this very special lady!!

I am so sorry to hear of Fran’s passing. She was a wonderful person and so glad God blessed me to know her. She was a great example to everyone of what a kind and loving person should be.
Fran had a smile that caught the eye of everyone around her. Her heart was filled with so much love. You never had a bad day when working with Fran. We have lost an amazing woman who touched many people.
Fran was the most upbeat person I have ever met, she remembered everything we ever talked about, family, friends, work, she was very supportive of my daughter that worked with her and always, always made me feel special. I hope Fran entered heaven knowing that she meant the world to all of us at CentraCare. Fran, you will be missed but know that you made a difference in every life that you touched.
Fran has become more than just a coworker to me, she became a grandmother figure to me and helped me thru one of the toughest events in my life. She was more then a shoulder to cry on she was a support system. That smile she gave me made the day better! I will miss her dearly! Heaven is a lucky place to have her but she will be missed here on earth but will never be forgotten! Hugs!
Fran was a friend , coworker, mentor,and second Mom to me and my family , she would always treat people with repect and love always giving onto others before herself. A devoted empoyee, nurse and mother and friend.She will be missed. My sympathy to her family.
Fran was the smile that warmed the hearts of everyone. She knew everyone’s children’s names and what sports/activities they were in. She was a mother/grandmother to everyone. Fran will be forever missed.
I worked at Centracare Rivercampus with Fran and from the time I started there she was absolutely amazing always giving compliments and asking how you were. She always shined and always made a difference. God brought home a wonderful person and will now have an Angel. You will be greatly missed.
I worked at St Cloud Clinic of Internal Medicine as a brand new RN, and Fran worked with the surgeons next door. She was my mentor, friend, and respected collegue and truly lived the healing mission of Christ. She made such a difference in so many lives. My sympathy.
