Gregory Arnold Knoll, 58, passed away unexpectedly in his home on September 19, 2026.
Funeral Services celebrating the life of Gregory “Greg” A. Knoll, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Deacon John Wolken will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
Greg was born on May 3, 1968, in Warren, Minnesota, to Franklin and Betty Knoll. Greg lived a life centered on service, family, and community. He resided in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where he worked as a dedicated social worker for more than 30 years, committing his career to helping others.
On July 29, 1994, Greg married Lisa Enns, and together they built a loving life and raised their daughter, Josie Knoll. Their marriage was full of travel, concerts, SCSU sports, entertaining friends and a commitment to their community and neighborhood.
Greg led a very active life. He loved to sing and was a member of Minnesota Center Chorale for many years. He was an avid tennis player and became a great enthusiast of distance biking. Greg found joy in gravel rides and mountain biking both competitively and with friends. With his daughter Josie, he performed in several Great Theatre productions. Most recently he loved volunteering as DJ “Uncle Frank” at KVSC and promoting independent music. During Greg’s two-year retirement, he loved going up north and spending time with his mother. Greg’s compassion and love for adventure allowed him to live life to the fullest.
Greg was loved by many and will be greatly missed!
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Knoll; step-father, Ed Huderle; in-laws, Henry and Eva Enns; brother-in-law, Howard Enns; and sister-in-law, Darla Enns.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Enns; daughter, Josie Knoll; mother, Betty Knoll; siblings, Michael (Joyce) Knoll, Jennifer (Scott) Boelman, Rebecca (Jeff) Poolman, Julie (Warren) Westcott, Eric (Amy) Knoll; in-laws, Sherry Enns, Ronda (Mark) Enns, Percy, Bertha (Brian) Isleifson, and Perry (Veronica) Enns as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Thank you for sharing Greg with me. I was beyond blessed to call him my friend for most of my life. He was one of the kindest, funniest, most genuine men I have ever known. Every memory I have of Greg makes me smile. He has left an imprint on my heart. I believe once you are perfect God calls you home. Sending prayers and hugs to all of you and everyone who loved Greg. Rest in peace dear friend.
