Harold C. Voss

Funeral services will be on Monday, July 2nd at 11:00 AM at Grace United Methodist Church in St. Cloud for Harold C. Voss, age 92, of St. Cloud, who died on Thursday at his home. Rev. Lynda Ellis will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in rural Paynesville. Friends may call after 10:00 AM at the church in St. Cloud.

Harold was born February 18th, 1920 in Eden Valley Township, Stearns County to Fred and Mathilda (Schoenlaben) Voss. He married Winafred DeBlois on October 4th, 1941 in Paynesville. They farmed near Paynesville until 1969 when they moved to St. Cloud. He was employed as a laborer for Landwehr Construction and various other construction companies in Central Minnesota. Harold was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in St. Cloud and International Laborers Union Local # 563.

Harold loved to fish, and listen to old time music by the jammers of the St. Cloud area. His hobbies included hunting and trapping, but most of all he enjoyed his conversations with friends and relatives.

Survivors include children, Dale Voss (Marcy) Avon, Darlene Thorpe (Dennis) Willmar, Maxine Heinrich (David) Rapid City, SD, grandchildren, Darren Voss, Michael Voss, Lee Voss, Shelly Voss, Danny Thorpe, Darrell Thorpe, and Cynthia Brooks, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Winafred, July 10th, 2004, brothers and sisters, Roland, John, Fred and Harvey Voss, Lucille Voss, Idella Bender, Marie Krupke and Ruby Krupke.

Memorials are preferred.
