Harry F. Mehr

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at St. Mary’s Cathedral Upper Church, for Harry F. Mehr, 85, of St. Cloud, who died Saturday, July 28. Burial will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Little Falls with full military honors.
Visitation will be from 5:00- 8:00 PM on Wednesday, and after 9:30 AM on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Harry was born on July 2, 1922 in Belgrade to Al and Catherine (Schwagel) Mehr. Harry served as a Merchant Marine during World War II. He married Irene Traut on May 16, 1953 in Sartell. Harry was a dedicated employee of Burlington Northern for 43 years, working as an accountant. Harry was passionate about photography, planes, trains, and cars. He especially loved his grandchildren and his favorite dog Kaiser.
Harry is survived by: his wife; daughter Julie Mehr (Steven Hanson), and son Brian; grandchildren: Anna and Drew; brothers Donald and James.
He was preceded in death by his parents and baby brother David.
