Harvey P. Obermiller

January 7, 1925 – October 17, 2009

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Harvey P. Obermiller, 84, of Sartell will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell. Harvey passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Country Manor Care Center. Reverend Lauren Germann will officiate. Entombment will be at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum, St. Cloud.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Harvey was born on January 7, 1925 in St. Martin, Minnesota to Lawrence and Lydia (Habermann) Obermiller. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Harvey married Lehanna “Lee” A. Behrens on November 6, 1948 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Cloud. He was employed with and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Harvey was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, the Royalton American Legion, St. Cloud Eagles Aerie #622 and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Lehanna “Lee” of Sartell; children, Lee (Karen) of Royalton, Sandra Obermiller (Vic Marotta) of St. Louis Park, John (Melissa) of Pillager, Nancy Ihli (Rick) of Rogers, Julie Obermiller of Eagan; grandchildren, Abraham, Nathaniel and Christopher Obermiller, Amanda, Andrea and Adam Obermiller, Alyssa and Abby Ihli, and Hannah Obermiller Nesser; great grandchildren, Alec, Ashton and Collin; and sister, Dorothy Schindler (Bill) of Apple Valley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Vernon and Delmar.

I’m so sorry about your loss. He was so fortunate to have you all around especially near the end.
