Hertha E. Fenske

Funeral services celebrating the life of Hertha E. Fenske, age 91, of Paynesville will be at 11 am on Friday, July 28, 2006 at the Paynesville Lutheran Church in Paynesville, MN. Hertha died on July 25, 2006 at the Koronis Manor. The Rev. Jeff Bergman will officiate. Burial will be in the Paynesville Cemetery.

Friends may call between 5-8 pm on Thursday at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville and after 10 am on Friday at the church.

Hertha was born on August 31, 1914 in Morgan, MN to Wilhelm and Paulina (Mude) Jannusch. She married Arthur A. Fenske on October 1, 1935 in Morgan, MN. They farmed in Morgan from 1935 – 1956 when they moved to farm in rural Paynesville. They retired from farming in 1962 and moved to the Eastern edge of Paynesville. In 1986 Hertha moved into the city of Paynesville. She was a member of the Paynesville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her children: Herb Fenske (Carol), Dallas Fenske (Patricia), and Shirley Cromwell all of Paynesville, JoAnn Krupke (Bruce) of Willmar; 17 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985, infant daughter Darlene, son-in-law George Cromwell, grandson Scott Dallas Fenske, sisters Cora Rohde and Alma Kranz.
