May 11, 1904 – February 16, 2007
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Hildegard M. Kron, age 102 of St. Cloud who passed on Friday, February 16, 2007 at the Hilltop Good Samaritan Care Center in Watkins. Reverend Bernard Gruenes and Reverend Timothy Wenzel will concelebrate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.
Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Arrangements were by the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
Hildegard was born on May 11, 1904 in Eden Valley, Minnesota to Berthold and Marie (Zimmerman) Ruprecht. She married George J. Kron on May 2, 1928 at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley. The couple farmed in Eden Valley for 15 years and later owned and operated the Hilltop Resort on Clear Lake in Watkins. Hildegard moved to St. Cloud in 1957. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish, St. Anne’s Mission Group, St. Anthony Catholic Aid Association and the Parish Quilting group.
Hildegard is survived by her son, Bud Seifert and his wife Dorothy of Hastings; two grandchildren, Gene Seifert and his wife Linda and Diane Peterson and her husband Douglas; four great grandchildren, Brooke and Bethany Seifert, and Kayla and Nathan Peterson; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on January 30, 1970; five brothers, Anton, Jacob, Paul, John and Oscar; two sisters, Frances Braegleman and Agnes Beckman.
Memorials are preferred to St. Anthony’s Parish.

Dear Bud and family,
I have had the opportunity to visit Hildegard a few times at Hilltop, and each time I was there she would always talk about you, Bud and your family. I am sure you have been a God send to her during these past years. I can remember as a kid always going over to their resort on the 4th of July and going swimming and getting a “free” candy bar, I thought that was the best deal.
