Imelda Teresita PonPon Yanson Geisel

Imelda Teresita PonPon Yanson Geisel, 73, of Sartell, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the St. Cloud Hospital. A visitation and prayer service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026 from 10:00-12:00 pm at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud. Reverend Patrick Hoeft will officiate. Burial will be held immediately following the prayer service at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Parish Cemetery.

Imelda Teresita PonPon Yanson Geisel was born on October 18, 1952, to Paulino Yanson and Irene PonPon Yanson in Domorog, Philippines. She graduated from high school in 1970 while still living in the Philippines. She migrated to United States in the late 1970s, and she married Larry Geisel. They were blessed to have two children together, Ileen Geisel and Emily Lynn Geisel-Lemke. She settled in the St. Cloud area in the late 1970s and started their commitment to the parish of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell. She was a seamstress by trade. Imelda’s hobbies included gardening and going on long strolls with her daughter, Ileen.

She is survived by her two daughters, Ileen Geisel and Emily Lynn Geisel-Lemke; grandchildren, Braden, Keenan, Elijah, Tristyn, Gabriel; and sister, Rosalinda Schneider.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Imelda’s best friend, caregiver, and greatest love, Ileen, will carry Imelda’s love with her for the rest of her life.
