Irene T. Reimer

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Irene T. Reimer, age 83 of St. Cloud, who passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House. Reverend Gregory Lieser will officiate. Entombment will take place in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Parish prayers will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Irene was born February 27, 1931 near New Salem, N.D. to Philip and Clementine (Weber) Ferderer. After graduating from New Salem High School, she graduated from St. Alexius School of Nursing. She married Julius Reimer on January 4, 1954 at St. Pius Catholic Church in New Salem, N.D. They resided in St. Cloud and she has been a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church since 1958.
Irene enjoyed playing bridge and bingo but especially enjoyed bowling to which she was a 600 club member. Irene also was a member of the Bowling Hall of Fame. She loved all the time spent with her family. Irene was also a member of the St. Cloud Eagles Auxiliary and VFW Post 428 Auxiliary.
Irene is survived by her children, Wanda (Ron) Sage of Seattle, WA, Kevin (Lydia) of Sartell, Brenda (Ray) Roeder of St. Cloud, Paula (Rick) Rice of Chanhassen, Sheila (Steve) McSherry of Chanhassen, and Steve (Jodie) of Sauk Rapids; 12 grandchildren, Luke, Mark, Ian (Jessica), Stephanie (Mike), Phillip (Trish), Pamela, Kristina (Matt), Mitchell (Allison), Patrick, Christian, Joshua and Austin; great-granddaughter, Madeline; sisters, Eva Kokkeler of Garrison, N.D. and Alice Henke of Renton, WA; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Irene in death are her parents; husband, Julius in 2004; brothers, Peter, Joseph, Leo, William, Raymond and Vernon Ferderer.
