James John Liebrenz

Memorial services will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Grace United Methodist Church in Paynesville, MN for James John Liebrenz, age 74 of Paynesville who died on Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. Pastor Ric Koehn of Grace United Methodist Church will be officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville, MN and from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday at the Grace United Methodist Church.

Jim was born on October 15, 1935 at Paynesville, MN the son of John F. and Ethel A. (Schoenleben) Liebrenz. He graduated from Paynesville High School in the class of 1953. He was united in marriage to Alice Ann Wallace at Evangelical United Brethren Church in Minneapolis, MN, on March 2, 1957. Four sons were born to this union.

Jim worked construction and was a member of Cement Masons Union #633. He enjoyed seeing the Minnesota Vikings play football, reading the newspaper from cover to cover. Jim also enjoyed watching “Days of Our Lives” on TV, and driving his Lincoln automobile. After retirement, he and Alice enjoyed traveling, entertaining friends and spending their winters at the Shady Rest Mobile Home Park at Apache Junction, AZ.

He was a life long member of Grace United Methodist Church as well as a member of Cement Masons Union #633.

In addition to his wife; of 53 years, Alice of Paynesville, he is survived by: four sons, Virl (Chris) Liebrenz of Watkins, MN, Cameron (Diane) Liebrenz of South Haven, MN, Delwyn (Nancy) Liebrenz of Paynesville, MN, and Deron (Patti) Liebrenz of St. Cloud, MN, five grandchildren, Jim (Una) Liebrenz, Heather (Earl) Allen and Todd Liebrenz and Taylor and Ryan Liebrenz, one great grandchild, Micheal Liebrenz, step grandchild John (Tanya) Ulrick, four step-great-grandchildren, Shane, Darean, Cody and Shelby, one brother Darrel (Helen) Liebrenz of Plymouth, MN, six sisters-in-law, and two brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: two brothers Virl and his wife Mary, and Dale and his wife Elaine, and one step granddaughter Nicole.
