Janice M. Blad

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in St. Cloud, MN for Janice M. Blad age 81 of St. Cloud, who died on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at St. Cloud Hospital, in St. Cloud, MN. Pastor Paul Dare and Pastor Dave Nelson of Holy Cross Lutheran Church will officiate. Interment will be in the North Star Cemetery at St. Cloud, MN.

Friends may call between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the church. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.

Janice was born April 25, 1925 at Keweenaw Bay, MI, the daughter of Wilbur and Ethel (LaFernier) Chosa. She married George E. Blad on August 8, 1942 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Sanborn, Wisconsin. They moved to St. Cloud in 1955. After George retired in 1980, they continued to make their home in St. Cloud and the surrounding area. George died on May 11, 2006.

She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for over 50 years.

Janice is survived by her children; Patricia Theisen (Gilbert) of Grove City, Gerald (Arlene) of Becker, Kathy Deeren (Randy) of St. Cloud, and Michael of Maple Plain; 16 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; one sister Karen Weaver (Jim) of Wykoff, MN, five brothers, Mervin Tody (Harriet), Kenneth Tody (Linda), and James Fletcher (Judy) all of Ashland, WI, Walter Tody (Araloene) of Randall, MN, and Richard Tody of Salt Lake City, UT, and many nieces and nephews all who Janice dearly loved.

Janice enjoyed her many flower gardens, being with her family, along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cooking for everyone, going to garage sales and shopping. She will be deeply missed by all.

In addition to her parents and husband, Janice was preceded in death by; her son, Richard in 1971; great-grandson, Joey Blad; one brother Phillip Tody; and one sister Eleanor Tody.

The Blad family would like to thank the St. Cloud Hospital Home Care Hospice, for all the loving care given to their parents these last few years.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
