Jeanette J. "Jean" Erickson

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud for Jeanette J. “Jean” Erickson, age 81, of St. Cloud who passed away Sunday, August 6 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids.  Reverend Alfred Stangl will officiate.  Inurnment will be private at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.  

Friends may call one hour prior to services Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. 

Jean was born on September 14, 1924 in St. Joseph, Minnesota to John and Regina (Murphy) Pallansch.  She married Dean E. Erickson on April 16, 1945 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in St. Cloud.   They shared a deep and caring life together that spanned 58 years.  Jean was a dedicated and creative homemaker, and her home was a tribute to that.  She loved to garden, was a skilled seamstress and cooked many wonderful meals for family and friends.  Her cabin on Mound Lake was her sanctuary for connecting with nature and finding spiritual renewal.  
Jean is survived by her children:  Dennis (Sharon Soyka) of St. Cloud; Dianne Erickson of River Falls, Wisconsin;  one grandson, Charley Erickson of River Falls, Wisconsin; twin brother, Jim Pallansch; sisters, Pat Pittman and Ruby “Jeff” Horton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dean.
