Jeannette G. Mayer

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Grace United Methodist Church in Paynesville for Jeannette G. Mayer, age 89, of Paynesville. Jeannette passed away April 24, 2012 at the Paynesville Area Hospital. Burial will take place in the Paynesville Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Arrangements are with the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville.

Jeannette was born August 29, 1922 in Paynesville to William and Lillian (Lang) Schultz. She attended the Brown Country School near Paynesville. She married Raymond Mayer on November 26, 1942 at her home. They purchased their farm east of Paynesville where they did general farming and also operated a mink fur farm. She was an active member of Grace United Methodist Church in Paynesville where she was a Sunday School teacher, a member of both the Naomi’s Circle and Quilting Circle and a former President of the U.M.W. She enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Jeannette is survived by her daughters: Judy (Doug) Stanger of Monticello, Janet (Mike) Pelkey of Paynesville, and Arlana (Bill) Langner of Alexandria, 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Raymond (1994), grandson Scott Stanger (1988), sister Lorraine Adams (2012) and brother Allen Schultz (1981).
