Joan Wiehoff

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Joan (Jacobs) Wiehoff, age 71, of Sartell who passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2010. Reverend Lauren Germain will officiate. Burial will take place in the St. Francis Xavier Parish Cemetery in Sartell.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Monday in the Gathering Space at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell. Parish Prayers will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Tuesday in the Gathering Space.

Joan was born February 19, 1939 in St. Joseph, MN to Aloys and Hildegarde (Bechtold) Jacobs. She married Dick Wiehoff on May 25, 1957 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. They moved to Sartell in 1965. They owned and operated Dick’s Glass and Frame Shop in St. Cloud from 1967 to 2007 at which time they retired.

Joan enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She also did volunteer work and was a member of the Catholic Aid Association, St. Monica’s Christian Women and St. Francis Xavier Parish.Joan is survived by her husband Dick, children Joseph of St. Cloud, Rose (Duane) Decker of Sartell, Robert (Bonnie) of St. Cloud and John (Margie) of Shorewood, grandchildren Rachel, Theresa, Jena, Michelle, Jacob, Travis and Kyle and sister Mary Kay (Keith) Leske of Springfield, MO.

Preceding her in death were her parents, sister Mary and granddaughter Christina.
