John A. Mamlock

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Monday October 5, 2026 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church for John A. Mamlock, age 96, of Mendota Heights, formerly of St. Cloud, who passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at his daughter’s home. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.

John was born on April 26, 1930, to Albert and Genevieve Mamlock (Friberg). John moved to St. Cloud as a child, where he grew up and attended school. Following high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. John was united in marriage to Illa H. Levandowski on January 23, 1954, at St. Antony’s Catholic Church. Together they shared 57 years of marriage and raised their 4 children. John was employed at the St. Cloud VAMC for 35 years. He was a longtime member of the St. Paul’s Parish. John enjoyed woodworking and especially cherished the time he spent with his family.

John is survived by his children; children Debbie Oaks of St. Cloud, and Cindy (Ron) Furchner of Mendota Heights; grandchildren, Lisa, Nadya, Matt, Scott, Tom, Emilee, John and Rachel; 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Illa in 2011; children, Joyce Birk and William Mamlock; son-in-law, Mike Oaks; siblings Eugene, Gretchen, Corraine and Jean.
