Though I didn’t know Joe all that long, Joe was really just an all around good guy. He will be missed at our lions get together

I was sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. I know he faced many challenges with his health. Now he is at peace. I will always remember the fun times with Joe during casino trips, Super Bowl parties, and playing Texas Hold Em. Rest in peace, Joe.

Dear Joe and Family,

It was honored to be Joe’s friend and well as an employee at the ClearWater Travel Plaza for many years with Joe. Had many memories and laughs with Joe. It was great to play Co-Ed softball and spending time with great friends at the Plaza. Especially when we all stayed overnight at the motel to work the next morning knowing that we wouldn’t be able to make it in do to the snow storms. Joe you are an amazing man, brother, son, husband to Jen and all around slapstick fun person. You will be missed by everyone who shared a bit of your life. Please take care of Jeff, Jason, Stacey and Tim. God Bless to Jerry, Julie and Jen May he looks down and help guide you. Love and memories. Rakes

Thank you for so many great memories Joe! I learned so much from you at the Plaza that I still use in my career today, really taught me how to be a good leader. So many fun trips to casinos, softball league games, and on and on and on. I feel especially thankful that God led Jen to you, and that she was strong enough to be by your side and lead you back to God. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Gerry and Julie ,
So very sorry to hear of Joe’s passing . He had the most beautiful smile . I will always remember his sense of adventure and how much fun we had riding on his motorcycle . May he rest in piece . Sending prayers for comfort and peace 😇🙏

I met Joseph in treatment over 30 years ago. We became roommate’s n use to have water fights that started out with squirt guns, then glasses n finally throwing pictures of water at each other. We would have poker parties at out apartment. We ran the Friday night AA meeting together. He got me a job at The Plaza. We played on the softball team. I met his sister Julie n his mom. They are so friendly, some of the nicest young ladies you’ll ever meet. We flew out to Vegas together n yep, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, lol… We met for coffee just a couple weeks back. I don’t know, like everyone else, what to do without him? He will be missed very dearly. He is way to young to leave us. He had a wonderful wife. Bye Joseph Herbert Hentges, Love ya man!!!

Joe has a special place in my heart. I will carry forever our fun, and crazy adventures. Especially in his green machine with Chris Cotton, and Chris Sigler Neu LOL! RIP Joe💞
To his wife and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I send my deepest sympathies.🙏🏻
