Judith "Judi" L. Eichten

February 17, 1947 – October 18, 2026

Judith “Judi” L. (Zarbock) Eichten, 79, made her journey to heaven on October 18, 2026, as a result of complications due to Alzheimer’s disease. Judi was born on February 17, 1947 to Robert and Lucille (Unger) Zarbock. She was a graduate of Springfield High School, Springfield, MN in 1965. She was united in marriage to David Eichten on June 12, 1965.

Judi was an integral part of the family farm. She also helped in providing support for the family by working outside the home at various jobs. Judi was an uncomplicated lady, who valued the simple things in life. Her greatest joy was centered around the love for her family. Being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother enriched her life. She freely shared her love with others, as she and her husband welcomed a foreign exchange student into their home, along with others in need. Her love of animals, especially cats, added to the joy in her heart.

Judi is survived by her husband of 61 years, David J. Eichten; her sons, David (Shari Janson) Eichten, Michael (Deb) Eichten, and Ephraim (Michelle) Eichten; her daughter Kari (Jeremy) Glanzer; sister, Carole (Rich) Baier; brother, Donald “Butch” (Annette) Zarbock; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces and 1 nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lucille Zarbock; father-in-law, Ephraim “Dimmer” Eichten; mother-in-law, Ida Eichten; one sister-in-law, Debra Eichten; and one great-grandchild, Landon Kirchner.

Thank you to the very caring staff at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home and CentraCare hospice team; to the extended family, neighbors, and friends who have always been there in the time of need.

We will miss you, but we know the angels will hold you tightly in their wings.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
