LaDonna M. Theisen

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for LaDonna M. Theisen, age 80, of St. Cloud who passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Reverend Gregory Lieser will officiate. Entombment will take place at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Cloud.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the church. Parish prayers will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

LaDonna was born on November 16, 1933 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Victor and Wilhelmine (Lommel) Hengel. She married Marvin Theisen on May 22, 1956 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud. LaDonna was a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and a past member of St. Peter’s Christian Women.

LaDonna enjoyed playing card games, trips to the casino, watching sports, crocheting, and her caramel rolls will be missed by many. She had a great love for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Mary (Rob) Paulsen, Deborah (Paul) Schmitt, Pat (Sue) Theisen, Judy (Dan) Dillman, Cindy (Shannon) Granzow, Kristi (Mike) Nielsen, and Gary (Allison Bergh) Theisen; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Victor (Joyce) Hengel, Virgil Hengel, Eugene (Marion) Hengel; and many nieces and nephews.

LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2012; sister, LaVonne (Ralph) Hirdler.
