My father brought Leo, as he did many other nephews from Sturgeon Lake to jobs at the St. Cloud VA Hospital. Leo was a wonderful cousin and when my father died in l962, Leo went overboard helping my mother and I at the funeral in St. Cloud. He was a great guy. Our prayers and sympathy to Marge and family. We did not hear about his death until February 13, 2009.

Truly a sad day. I will miss him even though he would continually say to me

You were the best and I will miss you. I know you are in a better place with my mom – I love you.

Mrs. Grabowski: I am sorry to hear of Leo’s passing. I have to tell you how pleasant it was to have you as neighbors as I was growing up. I remember how my dad, Jim Enneking, would be so concerned about the lawn, and Leo would be too. Both our yards always looked so nice. I think the men liked the exercise and being outside. I also chuckle to think I had a crush on Scott when I was younger, but never had the nerve to say anything. How silly that is now that I am 45 years old. My mom, Lila, and my dad always thought so much of both of you. Thank you for being such good neighbors and good Christian folks.
From Jim and Lila’s daughter, Karen.

Uncle Leo was very special to me. I will miss him so much. He was my “Godfadder” and gave me away at my wedding. He will always be remembered in my prayers.
