Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, February 7th at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta for Leona G. Lumley, age 91, of Osseo, formerly of Clearwater, who died on Saturday at her residence in Osseo. Rev. Robert Rolfes will officiate. Entombment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday between 4:00-9:00 PM at the Daniel Funeral Home in CLEARWATER and one hour prior to services at the Church in St. Augusta. St. Mary’s Help of Christians Christian Women will pray at 6:30 PM followed by Clearwater American Legion Post 323 Auxiliary at 7:00 PM and the Parish Prayers at 8:00 PM..
Leona was born October 11, 1916 in Buckman to Joseph and Mary (Miller) Grundhoefer. She married George A. Lumley on May 11, 1946 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. The couple farmed in the Clearwater area most of their lives. She was Past President of the Clearwater American Legion Post 323 Auxiliary, and a member of St. Mary’s Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta and Christian Women.
Survivors include her children; Ken Lumley, Scottsdale, Arizona, Shirley Winkelman (Kevin) Clearwater, Robert Lumley (Karen) Phoenix, Arizona, grandchildren; William Mathison, Lisa Mathison-Flett, Ross Lumley, Stacy Lumley, and Robert Lumley, great grandchildren; Natasha, Billy, and Kaitlyn Mathison, sister; Delores Gall, Mora.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, February 22, 1998, sisters; Marie Bemboom and Loretta Otremba, brothers; Lawrence, Aloysius, Herbert, Albin, Alfred and Joseph Grundhoefer.
Memorials are preferred.
The family would especially like to thank the staff at Berkshire Nursing Home in Osseo.

I am sorry to hear of Leona’s passing, but perhaps she is at peace now.
