Leonard E. "Lenny" Gondringer
October 10, 1925 – December 15, 2007

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Avon for Leonard E. “Lenny” Gondringer, age 82, of Avon, who died peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Entombment will take place in the St. Benedict Parish Cemetery Mausoleum.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Monday and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Avon. Parish prayers will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday at the church.
Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph made the arrangements.
Lenny was born October 10, 1925 in Avon, MN to Nicholas and Suzanna (Pitsch) Gondringer. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WW II in Okinawa, Japan from 1944 to 1946. He lived and farmed on the home place that his dad and grandfather farmed. He also worked at DeZuriks from 1957 until retiring in 1984. Leonard married Irene (Klein) Mugg in St. Joseph, MN on December 13, 1976. He sold his farm to a stepson and his nephews in 1993 when Irene and him moved to town in Avon. He loved to shake dice with his family and friends as well as hunting, going to auctions and owning new vehicles.
Leonard is survived by his stepchildren, Carol (Gary) Lauermann of Clearwater, Betty (Dave) Montag of Sartell, Joan (Larry) Wiener of St. Joseph, Rose (Ken Lahr) Koltes of Sauk rapids, Donald (Vicki) Mugg of Avon, Darlene (Gary) Kubesh of St. Cloud, Robert (Jeanette) Mugg of Melrose and Tim (Wilma Marthalar) Mugg of Avon, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister Marie (Dick) Chadwick of La Mesa, CA, sister-in-law Sally Gondringer, brother-in-law Jim Dexter and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents, wife Irene (2002), brothers Joseph, Lawrence, Raymond and Leo, sisters Rose Gondringer, Hilda Gondringer, Eleanor Trefzger, Lucille Dexter and Isabelle Kenning.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
Lenny will be missed by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We love you dearly, rest in peace.
