Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 19, 2007, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Lorraine Prather, 78, of Sartell, who died on November 15. The Reverend Lauren Germann will officiate. Burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud, and after 9:30 AM on Monday at the church in Sartell. The St. Monica’s Christian Women will pray at 5:45 PM, and Parish prayers will be at 6:00 PM on Sunday at the Funeral home in St. Cloud.
Lorraine was born on April 19, 1929 in Montrose, MN, to Arnold and Victoria (Lyrek) Schmidt. She married Russell Prather on August 4, 1949 in Delano, MN.
Lorraine is survived by her children: Gail (John) Dahn, Rick (Jean), Debbie (Al) Miller, Jim (Sue), Dan (Vicki), Patti Sly, Cathy (Doug) Weimer, Bill (Chris); 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers John, Frank; sister Marie Rassett, and twin sister Catherine O’Donnell.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband Russell, and her sister Florence Florek.
Memorials will be directed to the American Cancer Society.

My father, Donald Newman, is a first cousin of Lorraine and Catherine. His mother, Albina Schmidt Newman was a sister to Arnold Schmidt. My father is in poor health and is seeking information on Lorraine and her sister Kate/Cate. Can you please assist me in locating information on Kate? Thank you!
