Lucy M. Heinen

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 20th, at 10:30 AM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Lucy M. Heinen, age 63, of St. Cloud, who died on Tuesday at her home of natural causes. Rev. Joseph Korf will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may call on Friday between 4:00-8:00 PM at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and on Saturday one hour prior to services at the Church. Parish Prayers will be at 5:00PM followed by the Eagles Aerie # 622 Auxiliary at 6:30PM.

Lucy was born February 27th, 1947 in Melrose to Leo and Thecla (Meyer) Caspers. Lucy grew up on the family farm near Meire Grove. She graduated from St. Benedict High School in St. Joseph. She married Dennis Heinen on October 11, 1975 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Meire Grove. Lucy lived in St. Cloud all of her married life. She was employed at First American National Bank in St. Cloud, was a day care provider, and later worked for ARIA Communications. Lucy also was an Avon Representative for about 10 years. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and Eagles Aerie #622 Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughter Ann Heinen (Shea Baril) Prior Lake, brother and sisters, Elvira “Vi” Grundmayer (Jerome) Eagan, Jeanette Miller (Norb) West Union, Bernie Caspers (Rosemary) Swanville, and Imelda Sand (Maynard) St. Wendel.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, September 4th, 2008, parents, sister, Sr. Leona Caspers OSB.
