Lydia A. Manthey

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2007 at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud for Lydia Anna Manthey, age 92 of St. Cloud who died Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids. Reverend Dave Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery in St. Cloud.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Lydia was born on July 7, 1914 in Ivanhoe, Minnesota to the late John and Helene (Becker) Vierhuf. She married Herman Manthey on August 29, 1932 in St. Cloud. Lydia lived in St. Cloud all of her married life and was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church since 1939. Lydia entered Good Shepherd Lutheran Home on November 23, 1999.

Lydia is survived by her children, Marvin (Bertie), Beverly (Randy) Elwood, Eugene (Carol), and Joyce Koenig; nine grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on June 27, 1979; six sisters; five brothers; and one infant great great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dale and Wayne Flategraff, Kenneth, Brian and Rodney Manthey and Keith Koenig.
