A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, August 24, at St. Benedict’s Senior Community Chapel for Magdalen C. Schlangen, 89, of St. Cloud, who died August 21, 2010. Private burial will be at St. Louis Catholic Church Parish Cemetery in Foreston.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 11:30 AM at St. Benedict’s Senior Community Chapel in St. Cloud. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Magdalen was born March 10, 1921, in Cold Spring to Herominus and Catherine (Theis) Schneider.
Magdalen is survived by: her children, Charles (Judy) of Marietta, GA, Louella (Dennis) Hilsgen of Clearwater, Joan (Angel) Diaz of Woodbury, Alvin (Judy) of Kingman, AZ; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, husband Alphonse, infant daughter Marie and daughter Jeanette Fiedler, sister Lavina Peters, brothers Leander and Edmund.
Magdalen’s family would like to especially thank the staff at St. Benedict’s for the care they provided.
