Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 7, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph, for Margaret J. Feld, age 90, of St. Joseph. Margaret passed away on Monday, May 03, 2010 at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany. Reverend Joseph Feders, OSB, will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and after 12:00 noon on Friday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Parish prayers will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Margaret was born on May 12, 1919 in Arban, Minnesota to Frank and Margaret (Achmann) Roden. She married Clarence J. Feld on October 6, 1945 in St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Avon. She lived and farmed with her husband in St. Wendel Township most of her married life. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

She enjoyed spending time baking, gardening, and making and canning jellies. Margaret also loved spending time with and talking to her family.

She is survived by her children, LeRoy (Beverly), Larry, of St. Joseph, Eileen (Gerald) Hemshrot, of Sartell, and Mary Ann Yates (Joseph Schanno), of St. Cloud; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and brother Lawrence, of Avon.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence in 2005; son, Ervin in 2007; and brothers and sisters, Edward, Frank, Irene, Hildegard and Dorothy.
