Everyone will sure miss her. Never got to spend much time together, but the little bit we did see her she was wonderful. Take care Joey and Doug.
Marian K. Styles
September 27, 1947 – February 24, 2008

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Marian K. Styles, age 60, of St. Cloud, who passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview in Minneapolis.
Marian was one of those people who lead simple lives, who go to work each day, do a good job for customers and co-workers, then return home to be with loved ones. She was beautiful in appearance and behavior. She never said a harsh word. She was kind and caring to everyone she met.
Marian liked to travel. Minnesota State Parks were among her favorite destinations. She liked reading, quilting, wildflowers and songbirds, especially cardinals. She liked quiet walks in the woods. She once found a forest filled with migrating monarch butterflies and that became one of the many happy memories in her life.
Marian was devoted to Joe and Doug. A day at home never passed without her offering to them a delicious evening meal, encouraging words, hugs and boundless love.
Guestbook
Marian always had a very sweet personality. Even as children she was someone any of us could talk to and depend on. We will miss her very much. I had just talked to her a few days before this happened, and We are glad we had the chance to say we loved her. Doug and Joe, you will always be in our hearts.
Marian was always a sweetheart and a joy to be around. We will miss her, and the world has been diminished by her death. God must have needed another angel.
Doug – My deepest sympathies to you and Marion’s family. I was so surprised to read the notice in yesterday’s paper. I first met you and Marion when I was occasionally filling in at HealthPartners (then Group Health). I always enjoyed visiting with her, and from time to time we would “bump” into each other and have a quick up-to-date visit. I will always remember her ready smile. I am so very sorry for your loss – Sue
When I think of Marian, I remember her brilliant smile and her gentle rubbing on my back. She was always supportive, reassuring, and willing to listen during my tough teen years and was the absolute sweetest person I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Her giant heart and smile far exceeded her physical size and thats how I will remember her. A very loving person to everyone. I will miss you greatly, Marian, and I love you.
Marian, we all loved you dearly, you will be sadly missed. For Joe – the many times that Marian was there for you, being not only your mother but also your best friend. For Doug – the many fun times you and Marian had over the last 12 years. For us – her brothers and sisters and our spouses, nieces and nephews – the family reunions in Michigan, the phone calls when we lifted each other’s spirits during difficult times. We will miss your infectious smile that everyone felt, even talking on the phone you could make us all laugh and envision your smile. As a loving tribute to you, we bid you farewell! Know that we will always revere your beatiful ways, and the many kindnesses you gave to everyone you met.
Love, David, Peggy, and Family.
Marion and I had been friends for over 30 years. She was one of the most kind, caring people I knew. I will miss her warm hugs and caring smile.

Marian will be deeply be missed with her super personality. I will always remmber Marian as a very caring person. The first time I met Marian was at Whitney ball fields. She was the Administor at Health Partners and was our go between. She did not want to play defense/offense unless she had to. My statement was to her, how are you going to get better if you don’t participant! She was always willling to try. Actually the last year Health Partner sponsor the team, we met her future husband Doug. When Doug asked me where I worked I had said Banker Systems. Guess who had came to work for Banker System. I had to share this story, because this is what I remember the most about about Marin and Doug. I want to express to the family my prayers and thoughts are with you as you go through this difficult time. If I can be of any assistance, please let me know by email

Marion was a loving and gentle soul and often selflessly so. She was, for my son, Josh, her nephew, and for her beloved sister, Dorothy, THE go-to person when we needed her the most. I enjoyed spending time with Marian, we would share flower stories, differant types of plants and flowers. She would ask me questions and I would also do the same. She also shared her bird stories and brought me some of the mushrooms that she and Doug would find in various places. Marian was always very nice and pleasant. She will be deeply missed by myself and many others. I will keep Doug and Joey in my prayers and hope you find the strength to deal with your loss
