My condolences go out to Laddie and Ester. I will continue to have so many cherished moments. Especially the times growing up when ‘they’ (Marie & Laddie) would come to Freeport and visit us at grandma Lid Hennen’s house. She will be deeply missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 17, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Marie R. Hennen, 96, of St. Cloud who passed away June 11, 2011. Reverend Alan Wielinski will officiate. Entombment will take place in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:00 AM on Friday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. The Daughters of Isabella will pray at 4:00 PM and Parish Prayers will be at 6:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Marie was born on February 2, 1915, in Richmond, to Matthew and Mary (Engelhard) Hennen. She graduated from St. Cloud Teachers College, and was the business manager at St. Cloud State University for 36 years. Marie was an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society and United Way. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, travelling, and playing Bridge.
Marie is survived by her sisters, Laddie Kray, Esther Olson, three nieces, one nephew, 8 great-nephews, and 6 great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Memorials are preferred.
