July 16, 1918 – September 21, 2009
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Marjorie J. Grabowski, age 91, of St. Cloud. Marjorie passed away on Monday, September 21, 2009 at St. Benedict’s Center in St. Cloud. Reverend Alan Wielinski will officiate. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Marjorie was born on July 16, 1918 in Staples, MN to Frank and Grace (Schroeder) Hassler. She married Leo A. Grabowski on September 2, 1941 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Marge worked several part-time jobs throughout her life but her greatest joy was raising her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to the casino, traveling, and Twins baseball. Marge was a devoted Catholic and had a strong will to help others.
She was a long-time member of St. Peter’s Parish, Women of the Moose #417, Eagle’s Aerie #622 Auxiliary, and the Legion of Mary Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son, Leo and his wife Rose of Sauk Rapids; eight grandchildren, Scott Grabowski, Todd Grabowski, Michelle (Jeremy) Hilden, Doug (Denise) Welk, Jeff Welk, Joel (Lisa) Grabowski, Troy Grabowski and Jessica Grabowski; nine great grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo in 2008; daughter and son-in-law, Harvey and Delores Welk; twin granddaughters; brothers and sisters, George, Fred, Clair, Francis, Laurene, Mary, Bea, and Ruth.

Aunt Marge was a special lady and we always enjoyed seeing and visiting with her and uncle Leo. May God be with you all through this difficult time – remember and laugh about all the fun times with her – it help.
