Mary Ann Fleischhacker

February 23, 1931 – November 7, 2009

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville for Mary Ann J. Fleischhacker, age 78, of Paynesville. Mary Ann passed away on November 7, 2009 at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville surrounded by her family. Reverend Glenn Krystosek and Reverend Bernard Gruenes will concelebrate. Entombment will take place in parish cemetery.

Family and friends may call between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. Parish prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. All the religious organizations Mary Ann belonged to will pray together at 6:00 pm.

Mary Ann was born on February 23, 1931 in St. Martin, Minnesota to Bernard and Otillia (Jacobs) Kalthoff. She married Lawrence Fleischhacker on September 26, 1950 in St. Martin’s Catholic Church in St. Martin. Mary Ann raised her family and farmed with her husband most of her life in the St. Martin area. In 1990 they moved to the Paynesville area.

She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, the Mission Group in Paynesville, the Christian Women in Paynesville and St. Martin, Daughters of Isabella and Catholic Aid in Paynesville, and the Rosary Society in St. Martin.

Mary Ann enjoyed gardening and her flowers, quilting and needle work, fishing, playing cards, dancing, bowling, and cooking. Mary Ann especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. Her love and wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lawrence; children, Ervin (Sharon) of Paynesville, Jerry (JoAnn) of Albany, Doris (Ron) Frericks of Grey Eagle, Marilyn (Dick) Schoenberg of Cold Spring, Fred (Sheila) of Paynesville, Sharon (John) Schulzetenberg, of Spring Hill, Larry (Karen) of St. Martin, JoAnn (Ike) Euteneuer of St. Martin, Pauline (Ron) Hommerding of Cold Spring, Deb (Rick) Doll of St. Martin, Glen (Terri) of St. Martin, Wayne and James Bonine of New London; 44 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Leander, Clem, Ralph, and Roman Kalthoff, Clara Statz, Catherine Wehsler, and Lillian Hagen.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Dean and Joseph; and one infant boy; granddaughter, Lisa Fleischhacker; and brother-in-law, Phil Hagen.
