Mary E. Marsolek

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 16, at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Avon for Mary E. Marsolek, 53 of Albany. Mary was diagnosed with cancer on November 27, 2009; she passed away on August 11, 2013, at the Hilltop Care Center in Watkins. Inurnment will be at the Parish Cemetery. The Reverend Blane Wasnie, OSB will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph, and from 9:00-10:00 AM on Friday at the Church in Avon. Parish Prayers will be at 4:15 PM on Thursday at the Funeral Home in St. Joseph.
Mary was born on September 6, 1959, in Little Falls, MN to John and Dorothy (Ziemba) Gallus. She graduated from Holdingford High School. Mary started her career at DeZuriks as an Office Clerk at the age of 18 and worked her way up to a Master Scheduler in the Foundry. In June of 2002 she became a Buyer for the Purchasing Department, dedicating 35 years to DeZurik. She was a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Avon. Mary loved being outside: walking, gardening, yard work, tanning, just opening a cold one! She enjoyed cooking and baking for others. She always made sure her truck was the cleanest on the block.
Mary is survived by: sons Cody (Darcy) of Albany, Clint (Taylor) of St. Joseph; grandson Cole; brothers and sisters, Nina, John, Ellie, Diane, Gene, Delphine, Carol, Jim, Patty, and Tim; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Angie and Theresa.
Memorials are preferred.
