Mary E. Ellis

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026 at the Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater for Mary E. Ellis, age 69, of St. Augusta. Mary passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by her family, on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Pastor Mike Loomis will officiate and burial will take place in Acacia Cemetery in Clearwater.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday, at the funeral home in Clearwater.
Mary was born on November 29, 1956 in Anoka, Minnesota to Walter and Elizabeth (Blanchette) Bauer. She graduated from Totino Grace High School. Mary married Mark Ellis on May 22, 1993. She worked several jobs throughout her life including, Sci-Med Lifesystems, Silver Creek Corner Bar & Columbia Wear at the Albertville Outlet Mall.
Mary had a passion for horses, including riding, showing and barrel racing. She also enjoyed gardening, time at the lake, motorcycle trips, making quilts for cancer patients and spending time in Texas. She loved creating meals for her family and friends along with lots and lots of canning.
Mary found great joy in being with her family and friends. She was a very strong supporter to everyone in her life. She was a true fighter in every sense of the word. She was not one to give up no matter the circumstances.
She is survived by her husband, Mark; children Kelly (David), Jason (Amber), Travis, and Andrew (Gina), 16 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Siblings, Patrick (Cyrilla), and Anna (Lonny). Sibling-in-law Kimberley (Mike) and Matthew (Julie). Mother-in-law Janet Ellis. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Katie Lynn; siblings, James, and Sharron Wyandt; brother-in-law David Ellis.
A Celebration of life will continue at the American Legion in Clearwater starting at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
