Morris Miller

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, Nov. 2, 2007 at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud, MN for Morris A. Miller, 88, of St. Cloud, formally of Akron, IA, who died October 29 at his home. Inurnment will be at North Star Cemetery. Pastor Janine Olson will officiate.

Friends may call after 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Morris was born on July 2, 1919 in Union County SD to Alfred and Betty (Johanson) Miller. He attended Pleasant Ridge rural school. Morris married Helen Knaus in 1941; they farmed in Union County until 1947. Morris was in the trucking business in Chatsworth, IA from 1947-1950, and farmed from 1950-1958. Morris and Helen bought a farm and moved to Sherburne County in Minnesota in 1958. They retired and moved to St. Cloud in 1985. Morris was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reminiscing about his days in South Dakota.

Morris is survived by: his wife Helen; daughter Marlys of Huntington Beach, CA, sons Marvin (Mary), Michael (Ruth), Mark (JoAnn) all of St. Cloud; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Leslie, and sisters Alice, Irene, and Esther.
