Nancy J. Koster

A Celebration of Life for Nancy Jean Koster, age 74, of Litchfield, will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Litchfield United Methodist Church located at 1000 S. Sibley Avenue, Litchfield, MN 55355. A small service will be held at 2 p.m.
Nancy passed away October 18, 2026, at Bethesda Nursing Home in Willmar. She would like you to know that her work here is done. She received a call, sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge signing bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a very long time, and where job security is exactly 110 percent. She left detailed instructions for her sister and nieces and nephews to celebrate her mission here. Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated.
Nancy was born February 13, 1952, in Buffalo, MN to Benjamin and Helen (Bergman) Locher. She worked as a secretary and receptionist for 35 years, mainly at Fenton Chevrolet and Meeker County. She married Robert Bruce Koster on July 23, 1988, in St. Cloud.
Nancy is survived by her sister Judy (Don) McCoy of Paynesville, nephews and nieces: Tim (Tracey) McCoy, Tom (Lori) McCoy, Diane (Dan) Schultz, Jean (Todd) Mahlen, Penny (Ray) Ostendorf, Robin (Harry) Sand and Sandra (Chad) Christopherson and 21 great nieces and nephews. Nancy is also survived by her stepchildren Becky Koster, Andrea (Dan) Atkinson and Wendy Koster as well as step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, stepson Bob Jr. and nephew David McCoy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Philip’s Catholic School in Litchfield, Friends of the Library in St. James, MN or the Gorecki House in St. Cloud.
