Otto was born January 9, 1918 in St. Augusta, MN to Joseph and Gertrude (Landwehr) Klaverkamp. He married Lorraine Fuchs on May 27, 1944 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud. He farmed in St. Augusta all of his life. He also worked as a custodian for SCSU for 15 years. He was a life long member of St. Mary Help of Christians Parish.
Otto loved nature and passed that love on to his two daughters. He enjoyed farming. He was a hard worker and a very inventive problem solver. He could figure out a way to fix anything that broke on the farm and around the house. He was a strong, gentle, quiet man and a loving and supportive husband and father.
Otto is survived by his wife Lorraine of St. Augusta, his daughters Darlene (Michael) Blazek of Wilson, Wyoming and Diane Klaverkamp of St. Augusta, and sister Frances Kremer of Sartell.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his sisters Veronica Dietman, Alma Erpelding, Lynn Cael, Hildegard Kremer and Dorothy Benoit and brother John Klaverkamp.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
The family of Otto would like to thank the staff at the Country Manor for the wonderful care he received over the past three years.
