Pete was never far from my thoughts in the over 29 years I knew of him. Although not close, he is a major player in why I live the incredible life I get to live today. A true “giant” in the profession. An unsung hero without rival. Rest in Peace, Pete.Blessings to the family.

I have many warm memories of my Dad’s good friend, Pete. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dr. P (Dave) and I wish we could be there to offer our support.

Just about every one of Peter Honer’s special children were part of our St. Cloud lives -from Amy to Mary, Tammy, John, Jimmy and of course “Mom” Pat – and our little Andy and Sam. Thank you Peter for adding so much to Dave and my lives. Thank you for teaching your children integrity, love, and yes, joy.

As you look down on us, I know that you are doing so with a grin and a nod of a “job well done.”
Love Brenda and Dave

My condolences to all of you. I wish that I could have known Pete longer. I thank God that he has been part of so many lives and for his ability to serve those of us in the fellowship of AA. I truly believe that this mans charachter and qualities are living on in his Son’s Joe & John whom I’ve come to know as friends. “Well done good and faithful servant – enter now into the Joy of your Lord”

We enjoyed Pete’s friendship.

I am so sorry to hear of Pete’s passing but so very glad I was able to see him last month at my mother’s funeral. He was a great friend to both my brother and my mother. My mother looked at Pete as another son. I met Pete in the 8th grade and we became close friends before I moved to Calif. in the 11th grade. We resumed our friendship in our later years and he was a true friend. I regret that my stroke will prevent me from attending his funeral. Rest in peace good friend.

I know there are more “pete Honers” out there…I have faith..You have been a blessing in many lives–and you will be rememberd by all who you have touched. say hi to my dad for me pete.

Thoughts and prayers are with family and friends Pete was a counselor for both my parents when they went through treatment in the late 70’s he was also giving of his experience when I would have questions about any situation at work He is a great man and will be missed and remembered by our family.

Pete was one of a kind. He emulated the kindness we should all extend to one another. Whenever I needed a connection in St. Cloud, I called Pete. He offered hope, humor, and love to those seeking the gift of sobriety. I will miss him and feel honored to have been a friend.

Our sympathies lie with the family of Pete. They loved him dearly and will miss him. God needed him for His work and we pray for those he left behind.

What a great man. I had the great opportunity to meet Peter through Recovery Plus. Very smart and knowelgeable man. The world lost one hell of a man on Friday, August 14th 2009.

My condolences to the Honer family. Pete was at the St. Cloud Hospital in 1980 when our son,Mark, then age 18, was in for inpatient treatment for alcoholism. Pete had stayed in touch with Mark and our family since that time and we regarded him as “friend”. Mark has received his medallion for 28 years of sobriety and my family credits Pete with being VERY instrumental in this good work. I am sure you will be hearing many such great tributes to the wonderful man you have lost. May he forever live in your hearts – he certainly will in ours.

We Love you Uncle Pete. You will ALWAYS be Remebered..We are so Happy we Got to see Pete & all Last Weekend.Sorry We cant be there in person. But we will be there in our Hearts & Prayers.
