Ralph C. Massmann

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 13, 2010, at St. Wendelin’s Catholic Church in Luxemburg, for Ralph C. Massmann, age 82, of Luxemburg, who passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Reverend Marvin Enneking will officiate. Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery in Luxemburg.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Mary Hall in Luxemburg. Parish prayers will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday at Mary Hall.
Ralph was born on May 7, 1928, in Rockville Township, Stearns County, MN, to Henry and Mary (Eickhoff) Massmann. He married Jean Kath on June 19, 1952, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids, MN. Ralph owned and operated a dairy farm in the Luxemburg area all of his life.
Throughout his life Ralph enjoyed bowling, playing cards, trips to the casino, ice fishing and spearing. He especially loved the time he spent with his family.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jean; children, Kenneth (Bonnie), Jerome (Pam), Gordon, Francis (Kathy), Paul (Sue), Patricia (Jeff) Yaroscak and Donald (JoAnn); 23 grandchildren, six great grandchildren; siblings, Joseph, Edmund, Cyril, Marie, Felix, Daniel, and Catherine; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cindy, in 2006; one granddaughter, Mary; siblings, Eugene, Odelia, and one infant sister.
