Ralph J. Boeckman

March 18, 1934 – January 13, 2012

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, January 17th at 11:30AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Ralph J. Boeckman, age 77, of Sartell, who died on Friday at his home surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with cancer. Rev. Tim Baltes will officiate. Inurnment will take place at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Little Falls at a later date. Friends may call on Monday between 4:00-8:00 PM and on Tuesday after 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Gathering Space in Sartell. Parish Prayers will be on Monday at 7:00 PM.
Ralph was born March 18th, 1934 in Eden Valley to Gregor and Agnes (Ruprecht) Boeckman. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict in Inchon. He married Arlene Ratke on May 4th, 1959 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman. He lived in the Sartell area most of his married life. Ralph owned and operated Ralph’s Mobil in St. Cloud, Boeckman’s Mobil in Richmond, and Sartell Auto Service.
Ralph’s favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, baseball, football, camping at Itasca, bowling, gardening and his work, but most important to Ralph was his love for his wife, children, and their families.
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, and Sartell American Legion Post 277.
Survivors include his wife Arlene, children, Kenneth Boeckman (Kathleen) Long Prairie, Suzanne Popp (Jerry) Hanover, Rick Boeckman (Barb) Foley, Dale Boeckman (Judy) St. Cloud, Tammy Midas (Jeff) Sartell, Mary Partch (Paul) Sauk Rapids, Jennifer Fitzpatrick (Bryan) Randall, Brian Boeckman (Erin) St. Joseph, grandchildren, Chris, Kelsey, Nathan, Alex, Anthony, Stephanie, Brittany, Chase, and Simon Boeckman, Jessica (Steven) Hengel, Justin and Rebecca Popp, Kari, Amanda and Breanna Midas, Kayla, Ashley and Nicole Partch, Haley and Dylan Fitzpatrick, great grandchildren, Blake and Margaret Hengel, sisters, Lenora Schramel, and Rita Donnay.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Landon Boeckman, infant brother Joseph Boeckman, and sisters Marion Schramel, and Lorraine Drontle.
The family would especially like to thank the St. Cloud Hospital Homecare and Hospice for the extraordinary care given Ralph in his time of need.
