Richard Sura

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Richard “Dick” Sura, age 88 of St. Cloud. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial of his urn will take place on Monday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls with full military honors. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
Richard Sura joined the world on August 30, 1937, in Holdingford, MN to the parents Frank and Leona (Kutzera) Sura. Dick joined the U.S. Army for two years, and upon his return, married Carol Moris of Staples. From this union were born three children, Brian, Kim and Rick.
Dick loved fishing, hunting and especially hunting turtles. No one could hunt turtles like he could, selling the meat to many local restaurants. He always had a joke to share or a story to tell. He also enjoyed going to casinos.
Dick joined the Lord on December 9, 2025. He is survived by his wife Carol, children Brian, Kim and Rick, sisters Bernadette and Rosemary and many nieces and nephews.
Dick is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Leona Sura, sisters Genevieve, Delephine, Doreen and Mildred and brother Robert.
