Rita A. Witte

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Rita A. Witte, age 72, of St. Cloud who died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Friday December 29 at St. Benedict’s Center in St. Cloud. Reverend Timothy Wenzel will officiate. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Monday, January 1 and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish Prayers will be held at 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Rita was born September 6, 1934 in St. Cloud to John and Frances (Streitz) Witte. She was active in the WACOSA Senior Program at the Whitney Center in St. Cloud for about ten years. She will be remembered for her love of animals.

Rita is survived by her brothers and sisters Marian (Herman) Fischer of St. Cloud, Bernadette Witte of St. Cloud, Edward (Eileen) Witte of St. Cloud, Leona (Jack) Hibbard of Waite Park, Bernard Witte of Brainerd, Theresa (Gilbert) Schmidt of St. Cloud and Richard Witte of St. Cloud, sister-in-law Clara Witte and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents, brother Raymond and sisters-in-law Bernadine Witte and Cecelia Witte.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the Poor Clare Monastery.
