Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Robert J. Althaus, age 64, of St. Cloud who died Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Reverend Peter VanderWeyst will officiate. Entombment will be at Assumption Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 4:00- 8:00 PM Monday, and after 11:30 AM on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be at 6:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
Bob was born June 22, 1943 in St. Cloud to Leo and Lydia (Luethmers) Althaus. He graduated from Technical High School in 1961. Bob owned and operated St. Cloud Roofing and Sheet Metal for 35 years, until 1991. He also provided adult foster care. Bob was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
Bob is survived by his children: Lisa (Gordon) Carrell of Houston,TX, Julie (Martin) Brix of Sartell, Jeff (Karen) of St. Cloud, Michael of Humble, TX; 7 grandchildren; mother Lydia Althaus; brother Donald, sisters Luanne Reif and Arlene Williams; many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father.
