After his honorable discharge in 1991 as a second class petty officer, he continued his love of culinary arts as a chef in various country clubs in San Diego, CA until 1997. Uncle Rod it has been 2 1/2 years since you have been dancing with God. I miss you so much that it hurts. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you and all the laughs. Playing “Rod Wins” and hearing all your jokes. I love you so much. Thank you for being my angel <3 Kinzy

I first met Rod as a kid when him and my brother Jeff would hang out. He was always kind-hearted, silly and always laughing. Through the years we would run into eachother. One time I seen him at the store and we hugged and I couldn’t help but tell him how good his cologne smelled. He told me it was “Obsession” and that Christmas all my guys got Obsession in their stockings. Everything that Rod went through in life, he still maintained his good humor and beautiful smile. The world seems to be a sadder place without him it in, and Lucky for Heaven they have him.

We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the your family. Rod is at peace, and will be missed.
