Roger U. Busch

Roger U. Busch, 88, of St. Joseph, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 3, 2026. He was surrounded by family and love during his transition into eternal rest. A memorial service is being held privately with family. Burial will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.

Roger Urban Busch was born on May 16, 1938, to Andrew and Frances (Shiefert) Busch in Jordan, Minnesota. Roger married the love of his life, Jeanette Gavin, on April 11, 1970, in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. The couple lived in Bloomington, where he worked in construction and did maintenance for an apartment building. In 1979, they moved to St. Cloud where Roger worked as an engineering specialist for the Minnesota Department of Transportation. He retired in 1999 and in 2007, the couple moved to St. Joseph. Roger enjoyed fishing, camping, time spent at the cabin he and his family built, later in life, he picked up a love of golf. He was an avid reader, a jack of all trades, and all around a caring guy.

Roger is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeanette Busch; children, Sheri Lemke (Steve), Brian Busch, David Busch (Darcy); grandchildren, Cameron Lemke, Brooke Lemke, Kolby Busch, and Baily Busch; and siblings, Myrtie Wolfe and Noreen (Colin) Smith.

He was greeted in Heaven by his parents, Andrew & Frances Busch; sister, Betty (Roman) Friedges; brother, Larry Busch; sister Claudia Will (Wally); brother-in-law, Denny Wolfe; and his beloved dog, Ringo.
