Roland B. "Rollie" Schill
January 3, 1937 – June 5, 2010

The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Rollie Schill, age 73 of St. Cloud who passed away at his home surrounded by family, will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Church of the Holy Spirit in St. Cloud. Family and friends may join from 4-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish Prayers will be at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Interment will be at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.
Rollie was born January 3, 1937 in St. Cloud to Clarence and Agnes (Laudenbach) Schill. He graduated from St. Cloud Cathedral High School in 1955. He served aboard the USS Paricutin from October of 1955 to October of 1957 in the United States Navy. Rollie married Judith M. Heaton on November 26, 1960 at St. Augustine’s Church in St. Cloud. He was employed by various divisions of AT&T Corporation throughout his 40 plus year career, retiring in 1999 at age 62.
Rollie was a member of Holy Spirit parish where he volunteered much of his time during retirement years. He was also a member of St. Cloud Eagles Aerie 622. He enjoyed spending time in many different ways including travel, gardening, golf, fishing, hunting, bowling and especially following the Minnesota Twins.
Most of all, Rollie enjoyed the laughter and companionship of a good game of cards or dominos with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Judi, sons Christopher of St. Cloud, Michael of Sauk Rapids, David (Tammy) of Omaha, NE and daughter Wendy (Andrew Castro) Schill of La Quinta, CA. Grandchildren Jeremiah, Amber, Jacob, Brandon, Andrew, Katelyn, Jack; Great Grandchildren Shiloh and Marlee. Survivors also include sisters Patty (Tom) Hollenhorst, Judy (Tom) Otto, Sandy (Jim) Lang, Mary Ann (Mick) O’Hara and brothers Darrell (Sandy) and Richard (Sandy).
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marlene (Chuck) Euteneuer and infant brother Joel.
Rollie was blessed with a wonderful family and many special friends. The Schill family would like to send gracious thanks for all those who helped celebrate his journey through life.
