Rosa C. Gangl
March 6, 1924 – March 14, 2007

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 17, 2007, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud, for Rosa C. Gangl, 83, St. Cloud, who died Wednesday, March 14 at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Reverend Timothy Wenzel, and the Reverend Dale Ettl will concelebrate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday (Today) at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud, and after 9:00 AM on Saturday at the church. St. Anthony’s Christian Women will have a prayer service at 6:30 PM, followed by parish prayers at 7:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Rosa was born on March 6, 1924 in Kraine Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to George and Mary (Kemper) Ettl. Rosa married Fred J. Gangl on December 9, 1942; they were later divorced. She lived in St. Cloud her entire life, and was a general maintenance worker at St. Cloud State University, retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish and the Christian Women. Rosa was also a member of the Eagle’s Auxiliary and RVSP. Her passions were gardening, traveling, and volunteering. Rosa will be remembered as a generous, compassionate woman with a great sense of humor.
Rosa is survived by: her children, Edward (Linda) of Minneapolis, Roger (Maryjane) of Sartell, Herman (Pat) of St. Joseph, Clarence “Fats” (Linda) of Waite Park, Carol “Skinny” (Clark) Jones of Clearwater; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Arthur Ettl, Leo Ettl, Ann Tschida, Marcella Koopmeiners, and Delores Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Alfred Ettl, sisters Elizabeth Novak and Evelyn Ettl.
