Roscoe D. “Rocky” Heim, 77, of Estero, FL, died on October 8, 2024, after an extended illness. He was born on February 18, 1947 in Fertile, MN a son of the late Fred and Rosie (née Orth) Heim. He had lived in Estero since 1997, when he moved from Minneapolis, MN.

He is survived by his true soulmate and love of his life, Lydia Heim of Estero, FL; son, Jason Thomas Heim and his wife, Nicole Lynn Heim; daughters, Karen Rachel Allard-Heim and Staci Olsen, son, Sasha Komocar and his wife, Kim Komocar; grandchildren, Jackson Thomas Heim, Logan Matthew Heim, Rachel Monroe Hieber, Jessica Taylor Hieber, Josie Annette Allard, Abbey Madison Allard, Samantha Kennedy Allard, Josh Heim and his wife, Mary, Eric Olsen, Jon Olsen, and Alex Anthony Komocar and his great-grandchildren, Weston Heim and Kameron Heim; his brother, Donald Joseph Heim and his wife, Carol Heim; and five nieces and nephews, Nathan Gronli, Dominic Heim, Jeanette Weigelt, Danny Johnson and his wife, Collette and Julie Lotts and her husband, Jeno and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marilyn Johnson, who died in 2020.

Rocky was a genius in pharmacy and graduated with high honors from the University of Minnesota. He successfully owned the Wayzata Pharmacy in Minnesota and the Brooks Pharmacy in Estero, FL. He was compassionate, caring, and a genius at compounding people’s prescriptions with the soul intent to alleviate pain and suffering. He took care of the whole person and their families and prayed over every prescription before dispensing it.

He loved the outdoors and travel. His main focus while traveling was not sightseeing, but on the people, he would meet and if there was any way he could help them. On one occasion, he missed his plane helping someone who was in a wheelchair in the restroom. Rocky passionately read anything that was inspiring and interesting. He had an extreme curiosity of how things worked and were made. He always spoke with such passion about his 5 missions to the International Health Services in Honduras. He loved every minute of those trips.

He loved his family and was proud of every single one and always had a word of encouragement and love for them. He was an amazing mentor to his family and his extended family in AA, where he was very active and sober for 41 years. Every day, he would say, “Here I am, Lord, what are we going to do today?” How can I help you? He had an immense love for the Lord. He saw Jesus in every person he met. He made a difference in so many people and literally saved lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations in memory of Rocky be made to the Literacy Council.
