Rose M. Wang

January 8, 1952 – May 21, 2009

A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Rose M. Wang, age 57 of St. Cloud who passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Rose was born on January 8, 1952 in Alice, Texas to Louis Reyna and Dorothy (Otis) Rangel. After moving from Alice, Texas to Minneapolis she spent the majority of her adult life in the Mille Lacs and St. Cloud areas. Rose enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. She was employed by the Virginia Marso Law Office in St. Cloud for many years. Virginia became a mentor and close friend and encouraged her to pursue post secondary education. In her spare time she offered a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and cherished the time they spent together. Rose was known as a mother and caretaker to all.

Survivors include her daughters, Maria “Tess” Amesquita of Belfair, Washington, Maria “Vicky” Eldridge of Ottawa, Kansas, Donita “Nony” (Benjamin Goede) Odden of St. Cloud and Shondra (Reed) Bye of Maple Lake; seven grandchildren, Robert, Brett, Angel, Mikayla, Alyssa, Kyra and Carson; father, Louis of Minneapolis; brothers and sisters, Rick (Karen) of St. Cloud, Mark (Erin) of Missouri, Karen Kilbride of Minneapolis, Marylu (Kirk) Olander of Elk River, Anita (Sean) Conway of Hinckley and John (Joy) of Luxemburg; significant other, James R. Wang of St. Cloud and many relatives in Texas.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy and brother, Robert.

My husband Karl and I both enjoyed the few times that we got to spend with you. Thank you for always taking the time to keep me involved in the family and always emailing me pictures and telling me stories. You will be missed.

Shondra, please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your dear mother. Moms love and support us through all of life’s challenges. I know you and your family will mess her.
